Jim Goldsmith was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Katy. Jim attended Texas A&M University at College Station, where he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Prior to attending law school, Jim worked for a leading property/casualty insurer, specializing in claims investigation and catastrophe response. Jim received his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, in 2006.
Since 2006, Jim has defended companies and individual insureds in courtrooms across the State of Texas, including fatality and catastrophic loss cases. His litigation experience includes premises liability claims, claims for general and gross negligence, commercial and contractual liability cases, defamation claims, and intentional torts.
Jim is a husband and father of four children. He is active in adoption and foster care ministries, and is an avid college sports fan.
