Biography

Andy McCormick is a civil trial lawyer who practices primarily in civil litigation, including the prosecution and defense of individuals and corporations in business disputes, construction disputes, deceptive trade practices causes of action, property, and contract disputes. Mr. McCormick was named a Super Lawyer in the State of Texas by Texas Monthly in 2008 through 2011 and is AV® rated by Martindale-Hubbell peer review ratings, the highest rating possible. Mr. McCormick represents parties in complex claims involving commercial litigation, intentional torts, business torts, breach of contract, negligence, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act and the Texas Insurance Code. His clients include individuals, families, construction companies, entrepreneurs, and businesses. His passion is in representing those individuals who feel overwhelmed by the judicial system. Mr. McCormick has successfully taken many complex cases to trial to both Judge and jury throughout the State of Texas as well as outside Texas. Mr. McCormick is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He earned this certification in 1991 and has been recertified each successive period. Mr. McCormick received his B.A. from Montclair State University in New Jersey in 1981 and his J.D. from the South Texas College of Law in 1984. Mr. McCormick is a member of the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists.
