Biography

Bruce L. McNeel has practiced in Harris and all surrounding counties for over 25 years, focusing primarily on family law and probate law. Family law includes representing and assisting clients in the areas of divorce, property division, child custody, child visitation, child support, alimony, adoption, termination of parental rights, grandparent rights, suits affecting the parent-child relationship, paternity, name change, modification of prior orders, enforcement of prior orders, protective orders, restraining orders, family violence, premarital, post marital and marital agreements, separation issues, mediation, both temporary and final court orders, and in both uncontested and highly contested litigation cases. His Probate practice emphasizes drafting wills, trusts, power of attorney (general and for health care), directive to physician ("living will"), the probate of wills (dependent and independent estates), heirship determinations, proceedings in lieu of administration, small estates affidavits, guardianship, contests of wills and estates, estate planning, and estate settlement agreements. Bruce grew up in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, received his Bachelor of Science Degree in biology (Cum Laude) from the University of Wisconsin in 1979, and Jurisprudence Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law (and Texas State Bar License) in 1984. Avocations include outdoor activities, music and reading.
